This Snow Labyrinth In Poland Looks Like It’s Straight Out Of A Fairytale And It’s Larger Than 10 Tennis Courts

Many Europeans probably have heard of Zakopane – a small town in Poland of 32 square miles that is often referred to as “the winter capital of Poland.” It’s a popular destination for winter sports as well as tourism and is basically a ski resort.

But it’s not only known for that – Zakopane is home to the world’s biggest snow maze that would even make Stanley Kubrick proud. The giant maze is larger than ten tennis courts and was pieced together by using over 60,000 ice blocks.

It took about a month, 50 workers and over 60,000 ice blocks to build this winter wonderland. The mesmerizing ice structure is complete with a 16-meter snow castle too, that is full of chambers with hidden treasures and ice sculptures.

It spreads across 2500 square meters

When evening approaches, the maze is colorfully lit up which makes the whole mountain-surrounding area look like it came straight from a fairy tale.
