Couple Braves The Cold For Their Engagement Photoshoot And The Photos Are Breathtaking

How do you imagine your perfect engagement photoshoot? A nice sunset maybe? A lovely natural setting, maybe a forest or a beach?

This was what Josh Morris and Morgan Daye, a couple from Tennessee, had in mind when they decided to take their engagement photos in front of Bald River Falls. “Josh and Morgan wanted to shoot in the mountains and around the falls from the beginning,” photographer Kellie Elmore told Bored Panda. “Its a beautiful area and reflects what brought them together; their interest in the outdoors, nature and hiking. Except she wanted to glam it up a little.”

The falls are a gorgeous setting at any time of year, but the lovebirds were in for a magical surprise when they arrived there on foot in below freezing temperatures, (25°F or -3°C) to find how beautiful the falls looked when completely frozen over. “We didn’t know when we planned the shoot, but a few days prior we found out through social media that the falls were frozen,” Kellie explained. “But what we didn’t expect was how awesome it looked in real life once we arrived.”

While the shoot looks wild, crazy and a little dangerous, Kellie and the happy couple managed to get through the photoshoot (almost) unscathed. “My son, Damon and fiancé, David, were sure to check the stability of the ice before anyone got on, but when we arrived, there were dozens of people already out on it,” she told us. “I did manage to fall on my butt one good time, and head butt a tree during our hike back up to the top though.”

Nevertheless, it was a case of everything coming together in perfect unison to make for a unique and memorable photoshoot, and the response to the beautiful couple and to her truly breathtaking photos has surprised Kellie in the best possible way! “I honestly never imagined this would happen,” she told Bored Panda. “I am overwhelmed and overjoyed. To have something you love so much to do be shared on such huge platforms and large scale, it’s a true blessing.”

The happy couple have planned their wedding for May this year.
