Wooden pallets are used every day from all around the world by companies to transport all the goods we consume. In two words, everything that you have near you was one day on a shipping pallet! Korean design studio Craft Combine has the good idea to design chair out of them, instead of trashing or incinerated them. They called their chairs “The Pattered Pallet Chair” and they were able to mix old wooden pallets and design with acrylic paint patterns. The chairs’ patterns were inspired by Art Deco designs, which were prominent during the 1800s/1900s period. Two chair styles were created by Craft Combine, both of which were outfitted with overlapping pieces of acrylic in different colors to create geometric patterns.
