For August 8, 1974 lunch, US President Richard Nixon ordered a single dish consisting of pineapple slices with white cheese in the middle and a glass of milk. Just after the lunch, he appeared on national television to announcethat he was resigning, effective the next day, following the Watergate scandal and left the White House for California.
