In an ongoing series entitled Flying Cars, French artist and designer Sylvain Viau takes photographs of cars and then manipulates them in Photoshop so they appear to hover or fly. The idea of flying cars has long been a concept teased in science fiction and just the thought conjures up feelings of freedom and being able to go wherever you want.
Citroen cars are famous for their very smooth handling and hydraulic suspension system and were already transformed in flying car by Jacob Munkhammar (here and here). They are usually nicknamed ‘flying carpet‘.
Sylvain pushed the idea with other cars, and it’s still working. Sylvain experiment this change on any car, provided he can drive it itself to his usual shooting place in Cherbourg.
