Sunday is Earth Day! While it’s always been a day to celebrate the earth and maybe think about being a little nicer to it, it’s also turned into a bit of a retail holiday where shoppers can score discounts on earth-friendly products as well as a few free things.
If you’re out and about today, here are few deals you can take advantage of:
Staples
Through April 28th, if you bring old electronics into a Staples store to be recycled, the store will give you $10 off a future purchase of $30 or more. The item has to be from Staple’s approved list of items, but that list is pretty long and includes everything from computers and smartphones to things like older modems and coffee makers. You can see the full list of items here.
Goodwill
Goodwill shoppers can score a deal today when they opt to “reuse” something that has been donated by someone to the store. Shoppers who purchase $20 or more of goods from the store today can get 20% off their purchase.
Caribou Coffee
If you visit a Caribou Coffee today and purchase its Earth Day tumbler for $40, you can get free coffee in it for the rest of April as well as $3 specialty drinks.
Whole Foods
Whole Foods locations around the country are holding events for Earth Day ranging from planting parties to seedling giveaways. Many stores are also giving away free reusable tote bags today. Check out Whole Foods website for what events and deals might be happening at your local store.
