It’s Not Easy to Return to Earth

When you lived in space, it’s not easy to come back to Earth and resume his daily routine. In 2011, NASA decided to stop the Atlantis space program. It was enough for the photographer Neil Dacosta  to imagine Astronaut Suicides, a naturally dark picture series where by all means, a depressive astronaut tries to end his days. Made with the help of artistic director Sara Phillips, this series intends to highlight the evolution of an astronaut in recent years, and the image that the public has retained.

There is an incongruity in the fact of seeing an astronaut in these situations, we hope that people will see the humor, it will push the young to understand.

Says Neil.
