These pictures were taken by Tasha Sturm, a lab technician at Cabrillo College in California and illustrate the world of microbes that lives on our skin. This colorful petri dish is full of bacteria, yeast and fungi and were found on her 8-year-old son’s hand after he finished playing outside. Most of them are not dangerous at all but I must admit that it’s disturbing to think that there such things living on our hands…And you, afraid or astonished?
Omg, Look What Was Found on 8-year-old Boy’s Handprint After Playing Outside

so what…humans are a colony of cells including bacteria …we cant live without them. This is a tad hysterical.
Not hysterical at all! Stunningly beautiful! God is amazingly creative and beautiful. It never ends!
And….. so what ? Without bacteria we wouldn’t be here to talk about it…
Wie dekorativ :-)
I am glad to hear an 8 year old was playing outside and not sitting in a room on a computer or some sort of game.
Hands can be washed!!!! Outside and dirt are good.
I agree with Kathleen and Raelee. I’d rather just wash my kid’s hands and know that he or she was playing outside, rather than sitting inside staying clean, not developing any sort of immune system, and developing no real social skills.
Most bacteria are harmless / useful even ! Beautiful photograph anyway
