This photo of the solar star was taken by the Solar Dynamics Observatory. You can see the most active areas of the Sun, which emit strong light and dark areas, giving to the sun the air a pumpkin lantern.
NASA explains in his post how the photo was obtained on 8 October. This is actually a superposition catch of two wavelengths, colorized in gold and yellow. The space agency has concluded its publication by wishing a “Happy Halloween” to all!
