The Barrel Lamp and Baby Barrel Lamp are modeled after old WWII searchlights but their style is decidedly modern. Crafted from wood, concrete and steel, the lines are sleek yet sturdy. The lights are designed by Nieuwe Heren for the Dutch design group, New Duivendrecht. Taking the form from history’s searchlights, they created a model that easily fits into today’s lifestyle. The wooden slats and overall shape direct the light, while the spaces between the slats create a warm glow around the edges.
